United Kingdom FlagLomax Drives to Convincing Victory

Lomax Drives to Convincing Victory: click to enlargeCraig Lomax and his XtremeRX team travelled to Pembrey for round 3 of the British Rallycross Championship looking to extend their lead in the Super 1600 championship.

Lomax had it all to do starting each of the 3 heats from the second row, but testament to not only his driving pedigree but also the quality of the developments the car has undergone over the past couple of months he managed to drive the car home to successive heat wins, culminating in the fastest time in heat 3.

Starting the A-Final on the coveted pole position saw nearest competitor Mark Gamble make it to the tricky first corner first. Lomax opted to take his joker lap on lap 2 and then concentrated on reeling in Gamble. When Gamble finally took his joker it was a fore gone conclusion for Lomax to seize the opportunity to pass and to gradually pull clear and take a decisive win.

Lomax said “After all the hard work that we as a team have been doing on developing the car with our sponsors when it all starts to go right it makes the win even sweeter. Believe me there’s still more to come!”.

Milltek Sport are sponsoring and providing technical exhaust support to Craig Lomax in his Citroen C2 in the Super1600 class of the British Rallycross Championship. View the full 2015 race events calendar.

The championship now heads to Mondello Park in Ireland for a double header on 27th and 28th June.
